About Us

Rob originally trained in management with Marks & Spencers.  After this he held a number of positions in public sector and private commercial companies eventually moving in to management consultancy when requests to help other organisations came. Much of his work was crisis intervention, demanding swift action to stabilise a situation with long-term assistance to review, refocus and restructure. Rob's pet hate is 'Hit & Run' consultancy. 'The common view of a consultant is someone who comes in writes a report and is long gone by the time you see whether it works or not. For this reason he likes to work longer term with an organisation and build in a review day sometime after the work. “If I am around when it could all go right or wrong you know that I have a vested interest in making it work!”

He and Sarah spent three years in Nepal where he was the Health Services Director for the of a large health development project operating in partnership with His Majesty’s Goverment of Nepal.  Rob managed 40 professionals from 15 nations, covering 13 professional disciplines in 7 geographical locations.  He survived by drinking copious amounts of sweet Nepali tea.

He is a member of the Institute of Directors.
